‘Vampire Diaries’ Star Katerina Graham Calls Melinda Clarke ‘A Great Addition To The Cast’

How better of a mom will Melinda Clarke be as Kelly Donovan than her “O.C.” alter ego Julie Cooper? Well it’s only a matter of time before we see Kelly’s maternal instincts with her hottie son Matt when she joins the “Vampire Diaries” (the show returns in March). And, Katerina Graham, who plays the bewitching Bonnie on The CW show, admits it’s nice to be reunited with TV’s number one bad girl.

“I was on the ’O.C.’ and I loved her on it,” Kat tells Hollywood Crush of Melinda’s stint as Zach Roerig‘s sexpot mom on the show. “And I think she’s such a great actress and she’s so fun and a great addition to the cast.”

And while Kat and Melinda never got the chance to act in a scene together on the “O.C.,” Kat’s holding out hope that maybe the “Vampire Dairies” will give the ladies the chance to go head to head. “I never did a scene with her when i did the ‘O.C.’ and I don’t have scene with her as of yet, but just seeing her on set and stuff is pretty cool.”

Kat admits that the cast only wants to make sure that the show’s guest stars, like Sean Faris(may he RIP), feel comfortable working with the crew down in Georgia. “We’re a pretty close knit group and we always want to welcome any guest starts with lost of love,” she explained.
