EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW: Vampire Diaries Star Sara Canning Reveals Show’s New Secrets

Beautiful Sara Canning has taken America by storm in her role as Jenna in the CW’s smash hit, and People’s Choice award winner for favorite new drama, The Vampire Diaries. She gave RadarOnline.com all the new details about her upcoming onscreen romance and her new real-life roommate.

“I was living on my own for the first part of the season,” Sara said about her arrangements in Atlanta, Georgia, where the show shoots. But now she has plans to room with co-star Nina Dobrev.

“Nina lived with Kayla who was on the show as well. I hear she is a fantastic roommate and I love her, so it will be great.”

Canning, a Canadian native, faced some changes when she relocated to the south to play the level headed aunt and guardian to Debrov’s character Elena.

“At first it was the heat in the summer, I couldn’t believe how hot it was when I got off the plane I was like… ok, what the hell do I do in this weather? I packed all my jeans away and bought like 15 dresses as soon as I got off the plane. It’s kind of sexy and once you get used to it, it’s kind of nice.”
