Tonight on Vampire Diaries, there are more flashbacks to the past (are we alone in really loving the flashback episodes?!) as Elena finally learns the truth about how the brothers Salvatore became vampires.

Meanwhile, Pearl has a nasty run-in with Johnathan (guest star David ‘I’m going to appear in every network show’ Anders).
