INTERVIEW: Joseph Morgan (Klaus) from The Vampire Diaries

The Vampire Diaries is back tonight, after what seemed like a very long week without it. When last we left our favorite residents of Mystic Falls, a certain original made his triumphant return (love you, Elijah!) What does this mean for Klaus? What about the others? I recently had the chance to chat with Joseph Morgan, who plays Klaus, one of my favorite supernatural beings. We talked about what’s coming up, why people root for Klaus, and he even asked me to establish the official Caroline/Klaus ‘shipper name. From searching, the consensus seems to be Carlaus (or Caralaus), so I’m going to go with that one. Edit: The common consensus seems to be Klaroline. You win, fans, you win. Whatever the name may be, I am excited about the possibility, even if they have a somewhat crazy history.

After the last episode, I believe I might have yelled “hell yes!” at my television. I’m very excited Elijah is back. How is that going to change things?
Well, he’s going to wonder what happened, isn’t he? Since I put the dagger in him. There’s also the whole matter of my mother to deal with and the truth about what happened to her now, which has come out. I’m sure he’s going to have something to say about that. There’s a confrontation brewing, I think.

I’m looking forward to it! And a couple weeks ago, I think every Vampire Diaries fan collectively swooned over the Klaus and Caroline scene (laughs).

‘TVD’ Star on Elijah’s Kaleidoscope of Betrayal

Posted by Angela with No Comments

Daniel Gillies sat down with TheInsider and here is what he has to say about how he feels toward Klaus and being in the coffin

Insider: Given the way he was put in the coffin, how is Elijah feeling towards Klaus at the start of tonight’s episode?
Daniel: He’s pretty pissed off coming out of that coffin. Incredibly pissed off. Where he takes us is actually a very important storyline for the show that I can’t blow the cover off of. But there’s a good degree of apprehension and fear in how he proceeds with Klaus. Elijah doesn’t feel like he can trust anyone – and I feel for him. He’s experienced this whole kaleidoscope of betrayal. He doesn’t enjoy what the family has become; they’re a distortion of their former selves. They’ve become monstrous. And he seems to be looking for purity or attempting to uphold some sort of code, which seems strange to me given that everyone in this family is so corrupt.

Just when you thought the Original family couldn’t get any more gorgeous, two new brothers pop up. Nathaniel Buzolic was added to The Vampire Diaries cast as Kol, the mischievous but deadly youngest brother. Gabrielle Pickle interviewed Buzolic for his Facebook fan page, and he spilled all the juicy details about himself.

Before acting, Buzolic spent all his time playing basketball. While recuperating from an injury, he began acting at the age of 9. His mother, who raised him by herself in Sydney, Australia, took him to auditions. His hobbies include photography and goofing around with Joseph Morgan (Klaus). “He’s my mate!” Morgan tells Pickle. The two became fast friends on the set.
Buzolic shared his personal motto with Pickle: “Life is a gift, a gift that ultimately must be returned to our sender. I live by faith and believe in seeking the good so that my soul may shine and ripple through this world every day.” How very un-Original.
