‘Vampire Diaries’ star Ian Somerhalder is talking about the other hit show he’s back in – ‘Lost.’ Somerhalder is teasing about the return of his character Boone. (Nov. 18)
Week in and week out we keep finding more to like about The Vampire Diaries. Whether it’s the death of someone we thought was a recurring character or the reappearance of another character presumed dead who’s now a vampire, the show never fails to surprise … and entertain … us.
Do you share our guilty pleasure? If so, you’ll want to check out two new webclips provided by The CW for this week’s episode (number 10 already!) “The Turning Point”. But first, the synopsis:
After reading the journal left by one of his Gilbert ancestors, Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen) is inspired to return to his hobby of sketching fantasy creatures, a talent he had abandoned when his parents died. Much to the surprise of their friends, Matt (Zach Roerig) and Caroline (Candice Accola) continue to hang out together. When Sheriff Forbes (guest star Marguerite MacIntyre) tells Damon (Ian Somerhalder) there has been another attack, he offers to track down the killer and learns a startling piece of information about the town’s founding families. Alaric (guest star Matt Davis) steps in to help during an awkward scene with Jeremy, Tyler (Michael Trevino), and Mayor Lockwood (guest star Rob Pralgo). Stefan (Paul Wesley) and Elena (Nina Dobrev) come to a new understanding, but everything changes when Elena accidentally makes a devastating discovery. Sara Canning and Katerina Graham also star. J. Miller Tobin directed the episode written by Kevin Williamson, Julie Plec, and Barbie Kligman.
In Thursday’s episode of The Vampire Diaries (8/7c on the CW), Stefan (Paul Wesley) is marking his 162nd birthday and best bud Lexi (Arielle Kebbel) comes to Mystic Falls to celebrate. While Kebbel (Gilmore Girls) tells TVGuide.com that Lexi is unlike any of the vamps we’ve seen before — she happens to have a fun and bubbly side — she’s still quite dangerous. Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and a few Mystic Falls residents learn that the hard way …
TVGuide.com: Lexi wasn’t a character in the novels. What can you tell us about her?
Arielle Kebbel: She is about as much fun as anyone who’s 300-and-something years old. She’s this burst of energy, a complete life force. It’s safe to say she’s pretty much been everywhere, seen everything, lived every moment and that makes her even stronger, even more confident, even more sarcastic because she has all of this life experience behind her.
On his birthday, Stefan (Paul Wesley) is surprised by a visit from Lexi, (guest star Arielle Kebble, “Gilmore Girls”), one of his oldest friends. Still upset by the events at the Halloween haunted house, Elena (Nina Dobrev) does her best to stay away from Stefan, but Lexi gives her some unsolicited relationship advice. Elena and Jenna (Sara Canning) are surprised by a change in Jeremy’s (Steven R. McQueen) behavior. At Damon’s (Ian Somerhalder) insistence, Caroline (Candice Accola) tries to get his medallion back from Bonnie (Katerina Graham). Finally, Damon’s offer to help Sheriff Forbes (guest star Marguerite MacIntyre) has sudden and tragic results. Zach Roerig also stars. Rick Bota directed the episode written by Barbie Kligman & Gabrielle Stanton.
